The form of lingual brackets is almost the same as the form of vestibular devices: brackets have one slot. The arch and ligature wings are set in the slot to enable fixation and overlay of ligatures. The thickness of brackets for incisor and canine teeth is approx. 2 mm, width is approx. 1,5-1,9 mm. In general bracket has a round form and none of zone is projected. At the lower jaw due to the thickness and and width of bracket, they are less visible even when the patient gepes.

Hygiene
With this modern lingual system hygiene becomes much easier. Due to the small size the gaps between brackets are bigger, so it is easier to clean them with dental brush.
Brackets have an ergonomic form without projected elements. This decreases retention of food debris (it is also achieved by absence of hooks).

The brackets are positioned enough far from gum margin so it helps to protect marginal zone of the gums.
